JOB REQUIREMENTS

We're looking for a full-time technician who can maintain the various machines used within our winery and bottling line and help maximise efficiency and minimise machinery downtime.

YOUR ROLE

As a Maintenance Fitter is:

  • to maintain the winery plant and machinery including (but not limited to):- pumps, grape crusher, presses, filtration units, general winery machinery, bottling line, basic plumbing, site maintenance;
  • to schedule routine maintenance in key areas (winery, bottling line);
  • to keep accurate records of all maintenance and lists of suppliers;
  • to organise and liaise with contractors;
  • to evaluate and diagnose machinery failure, and assess, recommend and implement the most cost-effective solution;
  • to ensure all WHS protocols are followed;
  • Some knowledge of PLC's would be handy, as would welding/fitting skills and basic electrical knowledge.
  • to assist with maintenance of winery equipment to ensure efficient cellar operations - this includes pumps, presses, plumbing and other equipment critical to winery operations;
  • to participate in routine meetings regarding future maintenance requirements and winery expansions;
  • to report on maintenance problems and potential solutions to the Operations Manager;
  • to coordinate approved maintenance projects with contractors so they are completed within specifications and budget.
