About the Role
We're seeking a motivated
Final Year Property Student or recent Graduate
to join our team as an
Assistant Valuer / Consultant
. This is a hands-on role, designed to complement your studies, giving you practical experience in the property industry and exposure to valuation, sales agency, consultancy, research, and client engagement.
You'll work directly with the managing director and senior valuer on valuations, sale information packs, research projects, and client advisory work. Hours are flexible to fit in with your university timetable, with the potential for growth into a graduate or full-time role after studies.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the analysis of self storage trading data and market performance trends.
- Draft valuation modelling.
- Maintain our self storage supply data base.
- Prepare self storage competition maps.
- Assist in the preparation of property valuation reports and consultancy advice.
- Conduct property and market research, including sales and rental evidence gathering and other forms of data collection.
- Accompany the valuers on property inspections.
- Compile and analyse demographic and market data for specific customer catchments.
- Prepare client-ready documents, presentations, and spreadsheets.
- Support project administration and maintain accurate records.
- Build relationships with key clients.
Skills & Attributes
- Currently in (or close to) commencing your final year of a Property Economics, Valuation, or related degree.
- Strong research and analytical skills with
conscientious attention to detail. - An analytical and curious mind with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Interest in commercial property markets and going concern (real estate and business) assets.
- Professional, reliable, and eager to learn.
- A valid driver's license is required.
