About the Firm

Komplete Accounting Group Pty Ltd is a boutique accounting firm based in the growth corridor of South West Sydney. We are a small firm that is growing at a rapid rate and are looking for that special someone to grow with us into the next phase. We have multiple divisions of the business (accounting, tax, finance, business services and limited financial planning) all with the common goal – to assist clients to their strategic wealth. You will never be bored.

Our ideal clients are property investors. This stems from individuals to families to business owners that wish to build a portfolio of investment properties. Via our partners and affiliates we have access to a Limited AFSL and the ability to assist clients with obtaining finance.

However, we do service a range of business clients and this role will predominately be to look after them to ensure that their end to end accounting needs are serviced.

About the Role

  • hrs per week
  • Hours can be flexible spreading from 5 – 10 hrs per day (Subject to Negotiation)

As we are a boutique and growing firm, this role may be very diverse and broad until we can grow the team further. The role will be predominately that of an intermediate/senior Accountant, therefore it includes everything from start to finish, preparing & reviewing files (financials, tax returns and BAS') on a range of entities such as Individuals, Partnership's, Companies, Trusts and SMSF's, training and mentoring staff. As we are a small team, this role could include duties such as:

Bookkeeping for business clients

Preparing BAS's (all entities and structures)

Preparing tax returns (all entities and structures)

Preparing financials (all entities and structures)

Conducting research on client matters (tax, finance or super, federal or state) and the tax act for objections or audits

Create, install and monitor internal controls and procedures

Assist with preparation of monthly or quarterly financial management reports for clients

Reviewing and keeping informed on TAX legislation, legal and commercial documents

Determine tax savings and recommend strategies to improve profits

Liaise with ATO, other Government bodies and other external stakeholders on client matters

Deal with internal and external stakeholders for the purpose of completing assurance services

Review financial statements, expenses and previous tax returns to identify the best strategy for completing future returns

Comfortable in attending client premises to complete required tasks

Being a growing firm, if you are a gun candidate we will be open for this role to initially commence as part time role with the prospects of becoming full time as we grow, particular hours and rates will be negotiated.

Just like with our clients, everything we do is bespoke.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have all (or most) of the below qualities, characters, experiences and qualifications.

Qualified in Accounting, Business or Commerce (TAFE studies HIGHLY regarded and preferred, especially if they then proceeded to uni).

Minimum 5 years' experience in a public practice firm.

Ideal but not a deal breaker - Qualified (or near completion) IPA/CA/CPA (or equivalent).

Experience with SMSF will be highly regarded.

If your qualifications commenced at TAFE then you went onto uni, this will be highly regarded

Strong understanding of accounting principles and end-to-end accounting processes

Sound knowledge of income tax, GST and accounting standards

Experience using Handisoft, Xero, Receipt Bank (Dext), BGL360.

HIGH Attention to detail.

Proficient in word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Amazing customer service.

Can work part of a team or by themselves with no or little supervision.

Confidence in understanding that no job or task is below them. We are a small team.

Ability to drive as access to public transport is limited and on occasion will need to travel to clients
