About the role

Greenfields Development Company No.2 Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join our team in Oran Park, NSW. As a full-time role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality financial accounting and reporting services across the group's property division to support the overall strategic objectives.

What you'll be doing

  • Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date accounting records and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations
  • Analysing financial data, identifying trends and variances, and providing insights to support business decision-making
  • Assisting with the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and other financial planning activities
  • Liaising with stakeholders, such as sector managers, executive team, directors and external parties etc. , to provide financial information and advice
  • Supporting the month-end and year-end close processes
  • Contributing to the continual improvement of financial processes and controls

What we're looking for

  • Degree in Finance (or relevant field)
  • Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification
  • CPA or CA qualification may be obtained within 2 years of commencement
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a financial accounting or reporting role, preferably within the property development or construction industry
  • Excellent understanding of financial reporting requirements
  • Proficient in the use of financial accounting software such as XERO, Sage Intacct etc.
  • Strong MS Office skills (especially excel) and experience with various ERP systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and quality
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Australian citizenship or permanent residency required
