About the role
Greenfields Development Company No.2 Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join our team in Oran Park, NSW. As a full-time role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality financial accounting and reporting services across the group's property division to support the overall strategic objectives.
What you'll be doing
- Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date accounting records and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations
- Analysing financial data, identifying trends and variances, and providing insights to support business decision-making
- Assisting with the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and other financial planning activities
- Liaising with stakeholders, such as sector managers, executive team, directors and external parties etc. , to provide financial information and advice
- Supporting the month-end and year-end close processes
- Contributing to the continual improvement of financial processes and controls
What we're looking for
- Degree in Finance (or relevant field)
- Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification
- CPA or CA qualification may be obtained within 2 years of commencement
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a financial accounting or reporting role, preferably within the property development or construction industry
- Excellent understanding of financial reporting requirements
- Proficient in the use of financial accounting software such as XERO, Sage Intacct etc.
- Strong MS Office skills (especially excel) and experience with various ERP systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and quality
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency required
