THE OPPORTUNITY
Join SIG as a Key Account Manager, where you'll drive business growth through relationship building and consultative sales. You'll manage allocated accounts, identify new business opportunities, and develop targeted business plans with the Head of Sales (ANZ).
In this role, you will establish long-term relationships with global organisations, achieve revenue targets, and enhance our market reputation. We seek motivated individuals who excel in B2B sales, particularly in the FMCG packaging sector.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the key account management of allocated accounts.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through a consultative sales approach.
- Develop segment specific business plans in conjunction with the Head of Sales (ANZ) to identify and capture new business opportunities within the market.
- Engage with and confidently present to C-suite executives across leading organisations.
- Responsible for the successful execution of commercial development plans in line with the company's growth revenue and profitability targets.
- To increase company reputation and recognition.
- To collect market information and keep internal coordination between SIG departments.
- Develop, maintain, and follow up on the business plan and sales targets.
- Provide the organisation with market intelligence, including market and customer activities, changing trends, new technology, and competitor activity.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including suppliers, customers, industry 'captains,' and third-party interests, to identify opportunities, threats, and trends in the market.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within a designated sales territory.
- Communicates effectively between the ANZ Commercial Team and other internal business functions across the organisation.
- Provide ongoing feedback to the organisation on its position as a supplier, including quality, service, and value.
- Plan and manage customer visits to maximise time, priority, and value efficiency, expect to provide 50% of your time to direct customer contact.
- Prepare, manage, and conclude customer supply contracts successfully.
- Remain current with the 'Best Practice' in commercial management, leadership, communication, operational systems, and technology.
- Maintain strong alliances with customers and suppliers through ethical and professional practice.
- Regular travel requiring flexibility to accommodate 'out of hours' arrangements
YOU BRING THESE SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
- Preferred tertiary qualifications in an appropriate discipline (business admin, marketing, engineering), supported by commercial business management.
- Experienced and skilled in the areas of sales, organisation, problem solving, and negotiation.
- Strong networking ability with a proven track record of building and maintaining professional relationships.
- Experienced in a Business-to-Business environment and working with customers exposed to FMCG markets (packaging industry experience will be advantageous)
- MS Office proficient
