About the Role

The position reports to the HR Operations Manager and has direct reports.
This role is located in our Capalaba office in Queensland.
Key Responsibilities
- Compliance Management & Legislative Licensing: Track and manage the expiry and renewal of mandatory certifications, such as a Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening, and proactively liaise with employees to ensure compliance.
- New Employee Onboarding: Manage the compliance aspects of onboarding, including contracts, confidentiality agreements, and position descriptions, ensuring all pre-employment checks are completed before a new hire starts their shift.
- Award Interpretation: Interpret various awards like the Clerks, SCHADS, and Nurses Awards to guide contract terms and employee entitlements.
- HR & Compliance Systems: Maintain accurate staff records in HR platforms such as Employment Hero and regularly update digital registers and compliance trackers.
- Leadership & Oversight: Provide leadership to the HR Operations team, mentoring and training HR Operations Officers to maintain high standards of service delivery.
About You
- Qualifications and Experience: Relevant professional qualifications (a Diploma of Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field is desirable) along with at least two years of experience in an HR administration or HR operations role.
- Knowledge and Skills: You'll have strong attention to detail and data accuracy, as well as the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. You should also be proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms.
- Personal Attributes: You have strong communication and stakeholder management skills and can build productive working relationships with a wide range of people. You are able to work effectively both independently and within a collaborative team environment.
- Essential Requirements: You must hold or willing to obtain an NDIS Worker Screening Check and a Working with Children Check.
