About the Role:

Based at Brisbane Immigration Detention Centre in Pinkenba, and reporting to the on-site Senior HRBP, this key role supports our People & Culture team across a range of HR functions. From onboarding and employee queries to HR systems and compliance, you'll play a key role in ensuring a seamless employee experience.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their HR career or ready to step into a broader support role in a dynamic and values-driven organisation.

In your new role, you will:
  • Support employee onboarding, ensuring a smooth induction process.
  • Manage HR data, reporting, and maintain accurate workforce records.
  • Coordinate training activities and liaise with internal stakeholders.
  • Provide general HR support, including leave management and employee queries.
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies, workforce planning, and governance.
To be successful, you will have:
  • Experience in a HR support or administration role (preferred)
  • Experience in a rostering support role (preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Sharepoint)
  • A proactive, can-do attitude and a genuine interest in HR
