About the Company
Our client is an iconic, government-owned organisation delivering safe, efficient and environmentally responsible services to Australia's aviation sector. Managing millions of aircraft movements each year across a vast portion of the world's airspace, they support frontline operations such as air traffic control and aviation rescue firefighting, alongside critical corporate functions. It's a unique opportunity to contribute at the forefront of aviation in Australia.
The organisation is progressing an exciting HR transformation, reshaping its shared services capability and strengthening the Employee Services function ("front door to HR"). This role provides pivotal coverage during a planned leave period, ensuring service quality and continuity.
About the Role
You'll join a well-formed Employee Services team within a shared-services model, ensuring accurate, timely HR support to leaders and employees. Your focus will be on quality, compliance and service levels.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare, quality-check and issue employment contracts and letters of offer, ensuring correct clauses, delegations and signatories (partnering with ER as needed).
- Triage and monitor HR tickets, routing to the right owners and maintaining SLA responsiveness.
- QA/peer review team outputs; proactively question incomplete or inconsistent information
- Support employee milestones & recognition (service awards, certificates), coordinating with line leaders.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to continuous improvement of processes and templates.
About You
You're a detail-driven HR Administrator/Coordinator who thrives in a high-volume shared-services environment and takes pride in getting the details right the first time.
You'll bring:
- Hands-on experience preparing contracts/LoOs and working within HR workflows, approvals and delegations.
- A quality-first mindset with strong attention to detail and the confidence to query templates or push back on incomplete requests.
- Experience with HRIS/ticketing systems and working to SLAs.
- Clear, service-oriented communication and stakeholder skills; comfortable partnering with Talent Acquisition and Employee Relations.
- Ability to onboard quickly and collaborate in a hybrid team.
The Benefits
- Make a tangible impact during a critical leave period in a nationally significant organisation.
- Join a collaborative HR team with clear processes and strong service ethos.
- Hybrid flexibility with onsite parking and public transport options.
- Broad stakeholder exposure across frontline and corporate functions.
Additional Details
- Contract: This is a labour-hire/temporary engagement for 3 months (leave backfill)
- Start: Week commencing late September 2025 (includes full handover)
- Work model: Hybrid (min. 2 days onsite) - airport location
- Standard business hours; no regular after-hours expectations.
