Reports to:
Program Lead

Purpose:
Provide dedicated support to the Program Lead in managing Recycle Mate's council and program partner accounts while engaging the community through communications and campaigns. The role ensures partners are supported, stakeholders are informed, and the community is inspired to participate in Recycle Mate programs.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Council and program partner support

  2. Support onboarding and renewal of program partner subscriptions.

  3. Maintain up-to-date partner and council records, including program participation, contacts, and reporting metrics.
  4. Support contract administration, renewals, and invoicing.
  5. Help partners and councils promote Recycle Mate locally, including tailoring communication collateral to suit local priorities.
  6. Support data verification tasks by coordinating with the Data & UX Coordinator to help maintain accuracy and currency of partner information.

  7. Administer contracts, invoicing, and renewals.

  8. Communications and Community Engagement

  9. Facilitate quarterly updates and workshops with local government partners.

  10. Develop content for the Recycle Mate Gazette newsletter and other communications channels.
  11. Draft and update website content, FAQs, and knowledge base articles.
  12. Assist with developing creative collateral such as brochures, banners, signage, presentations, and digital assets.
  13. Provide on-the-ground or virtual support for conferences, and partner initiatives.
  14. Manage the Help@ inbox by triaging queries and ensuring timely responses from the appropriate team members.
  15. Support campaigns and initiatives designed to drive community engagement and behaviour change.

  16. Ensure localised collateral and promotions support council priorities.

  17. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  18. Collaborate with the Program Lead to develop communications that are clear, accurate, and aligned with the Recycle Mate brand and truth hierarchy.

  19. Work closely with the Data & UX Coordinator to maintain accuracy of partner data.
  20. Coordinate with contractors for collateral design and event support as needed.

Skills and Experience

  • Experience working with local government and familiarity with waste or recycling education programs.
  • Previous experience in account support, partner relations, community engagement, or communications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Comfortable supporting events and public presentations.
  • Interest in sustainability, environmental programs, or behavioural change initiatives.
  • Basic reporting and data management skills desirable.
