The Role

Our client is seeking a
Senior Legal Counsel
to join their dynamic in-house team. This role will provide broad legal support across the company's renewable energy, construction, and commercial operations - offering a diverse and rewarding mix of work.

Working closely with project, development, and commercial teams, you will contribute to major infrastructure initiatives from early development through to construction and delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of
    construction, procurement, and commercial agreements
    , including EPC, O&M, consultancy, and services contracts.
  • Providing clear, practical legal advice across
    contract strategy, project delivery, and risk management
    .
  • Supporting compliance with corporate governance, environmental, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Advising on claims management, dispute resolution, and contractor engagement.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders and external counsel to achieve timely, commercial outcomes.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have
6–10 years' post-admission experience (PAE)
gained in a leading law firm or in-house role, with a strong grounding in
construction and commercial contracting
. Experience within the
energy, resources, or infrastructure sectors
will be highly regarded.

  • Proven ability to draft, review, and negotiate complex construction and commercial agreements.
  • Strong understanding of
    contract strategy, project delivery, and risk allocation
    .
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A commercial mindset with the ability to balance legal precision and business practicality.
  • High attention to detail, strong judgment, and the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively.
