About the role
As a Customer Insights Analyst at Sonder, you will turn complex data into actionable insights that inform business decisions and enhance customer experiences. You'll work with internal teams and external stakeholders to define problems, analyse trends, and deliver clear, impactful recommendations. This role offers end-to-end exposure across the analytics lifecycle, from exploring and interpreting data to developing reusable frameworks and communicating findings that drive strategic outcomes.
What you'll be doing
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g. Marketing, Product, Customer Success, Operations) and external stakeholders to understand business problems and define analytics requirements.
- Analyse large structured and semi-structured datasets to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities.
- Apply the right analytical methodologies for each project, using SQL, and Python to generate actionable insights.
- Build dashboards, reports, and visualisations using Tableau to clearly communicate findings.
- Develop reusable analytics models and frameworks to support scalable, long-term solutions.
- Work with ETL processes and modern data platforms such as Snowflake to ensure data quality and accessibility.
- Recommend experiments or analyses to improve understanding of customer behaviour and business outcomes.
- Use a problem-solving approach to break down complex questions into manageable, actionable tasks.
- Share knowledge and contribute to the growth of the Analytics team, fostering a data-driven culture.

What you bring to the team;
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematical Sciences, or a related field
- 2-5+ years' experience in a data analytics or customer insights role.
- Experienced with SQL, Python or R, and dashboarding using Tableau or Power BI.
- Data Management & Analytics: Comfortable working with large structured and semi-structured datasets, and experienced with ETL processes, data warehousing, and platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, or Redshift.
- Communicative: Able to present complex data clearly to stakeholders, translating analysis into actionable business recommendations.
- Strategic: Thinks critically about analytical methodologies and develops reusable, scalable solutions.
- Collaborative: Enjoys working with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and deliver impact.
- Innovative: Always looking for smarter ways to analyse, visualise, and communicate data.
- Curious: Passionate about learning and understanding the business, customer behaviour, and industry trends.
