Join a forward-thinking Australian FinTech that puts data at the heart of its strategy. We're looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst who can go beyond dashboards to uncover insights that drive real business outcomes. In this strategic role, you'll work closely with stakeholders and report to the BI Lead to shape data-driven decision-making across the organisation. 

Location: Sydney CBD (2-3 days/week)

What You'll Be Doing

  • Delivering insights that influence decisions, not just reporting numbers.
  • Designing and developing dashboards that focus on metrics that matter.
  • Managing ad hoc data requests and ensuring fast, reliable delivery.
  • Writing and optimising SQL queries to extract, validate, and troubleshoot datasets.
  • Collaborating with business units to understand needs and provide tailored analytical solutions.
  • Ensuring data quality, reliability, and accuracy in all reporting outputs.
  • Telling compelling stories with data that are easily understood by non-technical audiences.
  • Contributing to BI best practices and fostering a data-driven culture across the company.

What We're Looking For

  • 2-5 years experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or insights roles.
  • Proficient in BI tools such as Power BI (preferred) or Tableau.
  • Strong SQL skills with experience optimising and debugging queries.
  • Experience working with cloud-based data platforms such as Snowflake and AWS (a plus).
  • Ability to go beyond the numbers to make meaningful recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A naturally curious, detail-oriented problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Analytics, IT or related discipline.
