About the Role

We are seeking an experienced 
Analyst
with strong skills in
Python, R, and SQL
to join our cross-functional Scrum teams. In this role, you will work collaboratively with Product, Analytics, and Business Banking Remediation colleagues to leverage enterprise data assets, review risk issues, and support end-to-end remediation of business customers.

This position requires both technical and business acumen to deliver data-driven solutions that improve risk outcomes, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and provide actionable insights for senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop analytical solutions using
    SQL, Python, and R
    to improve risk-based outcomes for stakeholders.
  • Undertake and automate data analytics across large datasets to identify customers requiring remediation and estimate financial impacts.
  • Build and maintain data solutions to record and track remediation payment records.
  • Present analytical insights and recommendations to stakeholders, including senior leadership up to General Manager level.
  • Translate complex business requirements into structured analytical processes and outcomes, including those subject to regulatory review.
  • Lead customer projects and initiatives, collaborating with analytical and non-analytical business partners.
  • Support peers by conducting
    quality assurance (QA) reviews
    .
  • Drive continuous improvements in remediation processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory changes.
  • Contribute to a positive team culture that promotes
    innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement

  • Data & Analytics:
    Strong logical reasoning and advanced analytical skills, with proven experience applying data-driven insights to business outcomes.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    Skilled in translating complex technical concepts into clear business insights, with experience presenting to senior leaders.
  • Commercial Acumen:
    Ability to prioritise and manage multiple time-critical projects, balancing business value with compliance and regulatory requirements.

Required Experience

  • Minimum
    7–9 years of professional experience
    ,
    in Data Analytics or related roles
    (e.g., actuarial, pricing, or credit risk).
  • Advanced proficiency in
    SQL
    for extracting and analysing complex datasets.
  • Hands-on experience with
    Python and/or R
    for data analytics, modelling, and automation.
  • Proven track record of delivering
    dashboards, insights, and data-driven recommendations
    .
  • Experience working with
    large datasets
    to solve complex problems and drive decision-making.
  • Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., GitHub) and Agile tools/methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of
    banking processes, products, and systems
    (preferred).
  • Degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Actuarial Science, Engineering, or related field).
