This is a temporary 8-10 week Accounts Payable (AP) role within the financial services industry is ideal for someone with a strong background in accounts payable and process improvement. Based in South Yarra, the position focuses on processing invoices and assisting with streamlining and enhancing work flow.

Description

Accounts Payable Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end Accounts Payable processes
  • Process approximately 50 vendor invoices per week via NetSuite across four AP inboxes
  • Verify banking details for new vendors
  • Set up weekly payment runs in NAB, including batch and singular vendor payments
  • Perform credit card reconciliations, including receipt matching and coding
  • Conduct bank reconciliations and prepare journal entries

Process Improvement Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive work instructions for all AP processes
  • Clean up NetSuite vendor master data:
  • Identify and merge duplicate vendor records
  • Correct spelling errors
  • Add missing bank details and remittance email addresses
  • Support implementation of a new AP approval workflow system and provide user training
  • Train users on credit card systems such as SAP Concur or similar platforms
  • Participate in project work and transition activities as required

Profile

  • Comfortable in small, hands-on environments.
  • Strong process improvement experience.
  • Able to document work instructions and possibly implement systems.
  • Experience dealing with non-finance stakeholders.
