38 hours per week | Temporary 4-week contract, potential extension
$40 per hour + super | Eastern Melbourne (Local Council)
Our client, a well-regarded local council in Melbourne's eastern suburbs, is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join their team on a short-term contract. This is a great opportunity to utilise your skills in accounts payable while contributing to an organisation that delivers essential services to the community.
The role
We are looking for an Accounts Payable Officer who can provide efficient and accurate financial processing and support. Key responsibilities include:
- Uploading and scanning supplier invoices, validating extracted information, and ensuring correct purchase order matching or workflow approvals
- Reviewing creditor statements and reconciling accounts as required
- Responding to supplier account enquiries in a timely manner
- Updating and maintaining supplier details with supporting documentation to comply with audit requirements
About you
To be successful in this role you will bring:
- Experience in a similar role within the Healthcare, Education, Aged Care or Government sectors
- Strong knowledge of TechnologyOne and CIA
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline
- High attention to detail, accuracy and strong communication skills
