About Your Opportunity
In this exciting role, you will maintain an efficient and well organised office and provide timely and effective executive and administrative support services for the Asset Strategy and Planning team. You will also work with the Infrastructure Planning and Capital Delivery (IPCD) Group Support Officer and other Business Support Officers within IPCD to provide administrative support to managers and staff from other teams within the IPCD as required. To do so you will need to maintain effective communication channels and excellent working relationships both within Seqwater and with external contacts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain an efficient, confidential, and well-organised office for the General Manager by ensuring policies and procedures are followed.
  • Develop and manage effective communication channels and feedback mechanisms within the team and with internal/external contacts.
  • Prioritise workloads, coordinate meetings, manage appointments, and organise events for Managers.
  • Prepare and distribute documents, provide financial and HR administrative support, and manage recruitment activities.
  • Develop office systems, manage records, assess confidential communications, and collaborate with other support officers as needed.
  • Organise conferences, workshops and official functions. This includes preparing itineraries, arranging travel and compiling documentation and providing administrative support at the event.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Demonstrated experience in successfully providing high level administrative services, including those associated with financial transaction management using computerised financial systems.
  • Advanced word processing and keyboard skills and advanced skills and experience in the use of Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated experience in establishing high levels of trust, integrity and responsibility in supporting the work and calendars of managers.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess and escalate matters, particularly incoming correspondence and time sensitive matters, to high level managers.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining effective office systems and procedures.
  • Knowledge of and experience with managing documents using electronic document management systems and controlled document systems.

This position has a salary range of $ 79,536 - $90,334 (dependent on experience) plus 12.75% superannuation and is a temporary 2-year fixed term contract.
