Melbourne, Victoria, Australia Light Me Up Therapy Full time $80,000 - $120,000 per year

We're on the lookout for passionate, experienced NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioners to join us on a contract basis and help us deliver high quality positive behaviour support at Light Me Up Therapy across Australia. (Work from home opportunities)

At Light Me Up Therapy, we genuinely care about our team and want you to feel supported and valued every step of the way. We offer full flexibility, letting you choose your hours and the clients you connect best with, so work feels good for you.

If you're after a friendly, caring workplace that puts its people first, we'd love to chat

We are open to expressions of interest from practitioners from other locations around Australia who have their own connections or case loads such as Albury-Wodonga, Ballarat, Bendigo, Geelong, Wollongong, Toowoomba, Shepperton, Mildura, Wagga Wagga, Rockhampton, Coffs Harbour, Geraldton, Bunbury, Cairns and Townsville.

Details of the Position:

  • Flexible work: work in your own time from home.
  • We will facilitate referrals, systems and invoices.
  • You will be allocated clients as close to your home as possible, with visits conducted at clients home, in the community, or via telehealth.
  • Behaviour support works closely with participants, their families and care teams to address 'behaviours of concern'. Within the NDIS, we help people to meet their reporting obligations for the use of restrictive practices with the goal to reduce and eliminate the use of restrictive practices and support positive behaviour strategies.

Please only apply if you meet the following criteria:

  • 1+ years experience as an NDIS behaviour support practitioner with a pracitioner ID.
  • Have been signed off as core, proficient or above status.

  • Experience working with individuals, families and/or children with a disability.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilise data collection tools, collate information, analyse and prepare behaviour support plans.

If successful you will need to provide:

  • NDIS Worker Screen & WWC
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Certificate
  • Current Driver's Licence
  • Australian Company Number (ACN) or be open to getting one (we can support you with this)
  • Fulfil the requirements of a behaviour support practitioner as per Quality and Safeguards Commission guide.
  • Have own Public Liability & Indemnity insurance as a practitioner.
  • Have your own external BSP supervisor and attend regular supervision at your own cost. (We can provide a list of supervisors if you do not have one).
  • Own phone / computer and any other resources required to fulfil the role.
  • Keep calendar, progress notes, and client files up to date
  • Reliably issue invoices for work completed.

Please note this is a contract role and practitioners are expected to organise their own tax withholding, Superannuation contributions and HECS (if applicable)
