Melbourne, Victoria, Australia Light Me Up Therapy Full time

Seeking Wonderful Positive Behaviour Support Practitioners

Location: Melbourne north south east or west

Level: Proficient – Advanced (or core if you're amazing)

Work Type: Contracting under ACN (genuinely flexible)

Light Me Up Therapy was created by practitioners, for practitioners. We are all about transparency, honesty, and providing you with genuinely flexible and enjoyable work (shocking we know) and providing a work culture that focusses on practitioner wellbeing. Practitioners at Light Me Up Therapy have complete autonomy over their caseload, and where and when they work. We believe work-life balance is integral for positive client outcomes – no one can pour from an empty cup

We are seeking experienced and registered NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioners to join us on a contract basis and help us deliver high quality positive behaviour support. Light Me Up Therapy values collaboration, trust, communication, and positive and meaningful relationships. We are SO proud of the practitioners we work with who embody these values.

What's all this about?  (AKA details of this amazing position)

  • Flexible work, meaning working in your own time from home - yay
  • We will facilitate getting you referrals, all onboadring/setting up of clients and invoices (leave the boring stuff to us – different strokes for different folks and ours apparently includes chasing up invoices).
  • Choose to accept or decline any referrals to ensure you can build a caseload that aligns with you.

  • Genuine focus on fostering a positive client-practitioner relationship, improving quality of life and positive client outcomes in addition to the report writing side of things.

The serious stuff (please only apply if you meet the following criteria)

  • 1+ years experience as an NDIS behaviour support practitioner with a practitioner ID.
  • Can commit to minimum 15 or more hours per week once a client caseload has been established.
  • On the ground experience working with individuals, families and/or children with a disability.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilise data collection tools, collate information, analyse data and prepare individualised behaviour support plans (we'll ask about this in the interview).
  • Commitment to meet the requirements of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.

If you work with us (hooray) we will require:

  • NDIS Worker Screen & WWCC
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Certificate
  • Current Driver's Licence
  • Australian Company Number (ACN) or be open to getting one (we can support you with this)
  • Have own Public Liability & Indemnity insurance as a practitioner.
  • Have your own external BSP supervisor and attend regular supervision at your own cost. We can provide a list of supervisors if you do not have one lined up.
  • Own phone/computer and any other resources required to fulfil the role.
  • Keep calendar, progress notes, and client files organised.

Please note this is a contract role and practitioners are expected to organise their own tax withholding, Superannuation contributions and HECS (if applicable).

Please apply via Seek and attach a resume and a brief cover letter that covers your PBS experience and ideal client groups, and anything else about you that you would like to share

We look forward to hearing from you
