Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Specialist to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management and experience in supporting managed services for the Information Technology organization. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to optimize financial performance and support managed services operations.

Essential Functions:

Oversee the financial aspects of managed services contracts, ensuring accurate billing, cost tracking, and financial reporting.Act as the primary financial point of contact for managed services providers, coordinating and managing financial transactions to meet business needs.Monitor and analyze financial performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and financial management.Lead and participate in financial planning and analysis related to managed services, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.Provide financial expertise and support for complex issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on business operations.Develop and maintain documentation related to managed services financial processes, procedures, and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, with a focus on managed services support or a similar role.

Preferred Additional Skills:

Strong understanding of financial management frameworks, methodologies, and best practices.Proven experience in managing vendor relationships and financial agreements.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex financial issues.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.Project management experience is a plus.Proactive in solving problems and issues in a timely manner with minimal supervisionStrong planning, organizational, and analytical skillsBackground in budgeting and/or forecasting analyticsPeopleSoft Financials and Hyperion Planning experienceAdvanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
