Senior Financial Accountant | Corporate Group (Australia-Wide)

Salary: $100–120K + super

Location: Melbourne / Sydney / Brisbane / Canberra

Work Model: Hybrid – 2–3 days in office

Reports To: Financial Controller

Type: Permanent (Australian Citizens or PR only)

About the Role:

An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Financial Accountant to join a growing Group Finance team within a leading corporate group.

This position is responsible for end-to-end financial control, reporting, and analysis across multiple business units, supporting the Financial Controller and CFO with insights that drive informed decisions.

You'll work across month-end reporting, budgeting, forecasting, board packs, and commercial analysis, in a role that offers exposure to senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage month-end close, reconciliations, and P&L reviews

* Prepare board reports, forecasts, and management accounts

* Deliver financial and commercial insights to support strategy

* Assist with budgeting, cash flow management, and variance analysis

* Drive process improvements and system enhancements (Microsoft Dynamics experience preferred)

* Collaborate closely with the CFO, Financial Controller, and Executive Team

Requirements, Must-Haves:

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Commerce

* Advanced Excel skills (non-negotiable)

* Confidence, strong presentation skills, and excellent communication

* 5–10 years of post-degree experience in commercial or corporate accounting

* Exceptional attention to detail, analytical mindset, and commercial acumen

Preferred:

* CPA or CA qualification (completed or in progress)

* PowerPoint expertise (for board packs and presentations)

* Experience with ERP systems – Microsoft Dynamics ideal

* Background in mid-tier or ASX-listed organisations
