About Red Cross

Australian Red Cross is part of the world's largest humanitarian movement. We support and empower people and communities in times of vulnerability. We act for humanity.

About the role

The Senior Financial Analyst will provide advanced analysis, strategic insight and business partnering to strengthen the financial performance of Australian Red Cross.

The role will principally support the Humanitarian Settlement Program (HSP), a large fee-for-service funding contract supporting humanitarian migrants to build the skills and knowledge they need to become self-reliant and active members of the community.

Working closely with program leadership, the Senior Financial Analyst will help design and embed financial and performance reporting tools and processes, with a key focus on implementing new systems (including the residential tenancy system and the fee-for-service system) to enable automation, accuracy and transparency in program financials.

What you will bring

  • Proven commercial acumen in fee-for-service or contract-based programs.
  • Experience supporting system/process implementation that improves financial efficiency and performance.
  • Substantial experience in financial analysis, business partnering, and/or management consulting.
  • Strong data analysis skills (Excel, SQL, PowerBI) with the ability to identify trends and insights.
  • Experience in financial modelling to support decision-making (valuation, scenario analysis, sensitivity analysis).
  • Excellent communication skills, able to translate complex financial information for non-finance stakeholders.
  • Tertiary qualification in Finance or Accounting, or equivalent substantial experience.

Benefits that act for you, while you act for humanity

Financial wellbeing:In addition to your salary, you can take advantage of salary packaging that could provide you with a great way to reduce the amount of tax you pay - and get more from your salary.
