Eastman Electrical is looking for a capable and organised Operations Coordinator to help keep our projects, staff, and systems running smoothly. This is a key role in the business, you'll be the link between management, the office and the field, making sure work is booked, tracked, and completed efficiently.
You'll be responsible for managing day-to-day communication between admin and field staff, keeping jobs moving, and maintaining structure across our operations. The role suits someone who likes being in control of the details but also enjoys working with people and solving problems on the fly.
Key responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily scheduling and job allocations for electrical projects
- Manage communication between office and field staff to ensure clear direction and accountability
- Monitor workflow, deadlines, and priorities to keep operations on track
- Follow up on quotes, materials, and job notes to make sure nothing slips through
- Report regularly to management on progress, performance, and any operational issues
- Support management via hosting regular meetings, staff training, performance discussions, and system improvements
- Take ownership of operational tasks and help drive the ongoing efficiency of the business
- Handle client enquiries and assist with customer relations and sales follow-up
- Oversee general stock management, ordering, and coordination of company assets
- Be a go to contact for team and client communication
What we're looking for:
- Strong coordination or operations experience in a trade or construction environment
- Confident communicator who can stay calm and clear under pressure
- Highly organised, with good judgment and initiative
- Comfortable using job management software (Simpro, ServiceM8, xero) or willingness to learn.
- 2 years minimum experience in a construction based senior role.
- Electrical knowledge/License is a bonus, although not essential
- White card and drivers license
This role would suit someone experienced in operations or project coordination who's ready to take the next step. For the right person, there's room to grow into an Operations Manager position as the business expands.
