We have an exciting opportunity for a forward-thinking and dynamic Coordinator Library Services to join our team
What You Will Do:
As the Coordinator Library Services, you will play a key role in leading our Library Services Unit through an exciting period of growth and transformation. You will be at the forefront of designing and delivering a modern, inclusive, and community-focused library network that reflects the needs and aspirations of our diverse population.
In this leadership position, you will guide the strategic planning, development, and operation of Council's library services and infrastructure. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, manage a team of passionate staff and volunteers, and oversee capital works and policy implementation to ensure our libraries are vibrant, welcoming, and fit for the future.
What We Are Looking For:
- Tertiary qualification in at least one of the following fields – Libraries, Information Sciences, Management, or equivalent experience in related fields.
- Experience at a high level in managing a business with a key focus on customer service, human resources, marketing, facility and project management.
- Working with children Suitability Card (Blue Card) or ability to obtain. (No Card No Start)
- Understanding of key trends relative to Library Services and broader industry and their implications to Local Government and the community.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, demonstrating the ability to garner support and commitment to a project or concept.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a creative and flexible work team.
