With over 10,000 participants and 4,000 registered players, we are dedicated to making football the most inclusive, accessible, and community-driven sport in the region. We aim to provide quality football experiences for all, regardless of age, gender, ability or background.
Why join us?

- Supportive environment backed by Football West's statewide network
Your role
We're seeking a dedicated Competitions Coordinator on a 12-month fixed-term contract to manage and deliver high-quality football competitions while supporting local clubs across the South West.
This is a community-facing role, ideal for someone who thrives in a people-focused environment and enjoys variety. Here's what you'll be doing:
- Competition Delivery: Coordinate the setup, scheduling, and delivery of senior, junior, and social competitions across the South West
- Club Support: Build and maintain positive relationships with club committees, providing guidance on governance, compliance and development
- Community Engagement: Attend matches and club events to strengthen connections and identify opportunities for improvement
- Program Coordination: Support the delivery of major events like Country Week, including logistics, player registrations, and administration
- Operational Excellence: Maintain competition regulations, policies, and processes to ensure smooth processes
- Collaboration: Work closely with the referee and disciplinary teams to support fair play
About you
You're an organised and proactive professional with strong communication and relationship-building skills. You bring:
- Experience coordinating or managing sport competitions or events
- Excellent attention to detail, planning and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Understanding of club governance or grassroots sport (football experience highly regarded)
- A collaborative, community-minded approach and willingness to work flexible hours
What you'll need
- Eligibility to work in Australia
- Current Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain)
- A valid WA Driver's License
Our Commitment
At Football South West, diversity is our strength. We are committed to fostering an inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued and empowered to succeed, regardless of ability, ethnicity, faith, gender, or sexual orientation.
