Henrietta Parramatta is looking for a Sous Chef to help lead a fast, high-energy kitchen known for bold, charcoal-kissed flavours and generous, modern Middle Eastern plates. You'll be the Head Chef's right hand—driving service, standards, and team development.

What you'll do
  • Run prep and service with pace and precision; manage the pass during peak periods.
  • Lead, coach, and roster the BOH team; onboard and mentor junior chefs.
  • Uphold food quality, consistency, and presentation standards across all sections (grill, fry, larder, pastry as applicable).
  • Own ordering, stock rotation, and waste control; assist with COGS and inventory.
  • Maintain kitchen compliance: HACCP, WHS, allergen management, cleaning schedules, and equipment care.
  • Contribute to menu development, tastings, and seasonal updates with the Head Chef.
What you bring
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef (or strong senior CDP stepping up) in a quality, high-volume kitchen.
  • Confident with grills/charcoal and flavour-first cooking.
  • Calm leadership, clear communication, and high standards under pressure.
  • Solid understanding of cost control, prep planning, and service flows.
  • Food Safety Supervisor (or willingness to obtain) and full Australian work rights.
