About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef (All-Rounder) and a DCDP Tandoor Chef to join our dynamic team at a Private Catering Company in Wentworthville, NSW.

  • The Sous Chef ( full time) role involves managing Indian curries, tandoor dishes, desserts, ordering, and assisting with overall kitchen operations.

The DCDP Tandoor Chef (Part time) will specialise in tandoor cooking and assist with curries, cold food preparation, and kitchen support.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a professional catering environment with a focus on authentic Indian and South Asian cuisine.


What You'll Be Doing
  • Assisting the Executive Chef in managing the kitchen operations and overseeing food preparation and service
  • Preparing a variety of tandoor-cooked dishes, including naan breads, kebabs, and veg & non veg curries, to the highest standards
  • Ensuring consistent quality and presentation of all dishes leaving the kitchen
  • Maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient work environment
  • Adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Participating in menu development and testing new recipes
  • Providing guidance and training to junior kitchen staff

What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Tandoor / Curry Chef in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant or catering environment
  • Excellent knowledge of Indian and South Asian cuisine, including tandoor techniques and authentic curry preparation
  • Knowledge of Nepali and Sri Lankan cuisine will be considered a strong bonus
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality standards
  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills
  • Strong teamwork and leadership abilities
  • Current Food Safety Supervisor certificate (preferred)
