An Italian Eatery in the Sydney CBD. A Sous Chef is required, you will play a vital role in supporting the Head Chef and overseeing the kitchen operations in this fast-paced, dynamic environment. This is a full-time position based in our Wynyard location.
What you'll be doingAssist the Head Chef in planning and executing creative, high-quality menu items and catering
Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating
Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring consistent and efficient service
Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards
Collaborate with the team to continually improve kitchen processes and workflow
Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies
Work closely with the front-of-house team to ensure exceptional customer service
What we\'re looking forMinimum 3-5 years' experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent role in a high-volume, fast-paced cafes/restaurant environment
Formal culinary training or qualifications
Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure
Thorough understanding of food safety regulations and kitchen best practices
Creativity and passion for crafting innovative, delicious dishes
