Your Team
Risk Framework is part of the broader Line 2 Group Risk Services team within the Chief Risk Office. It is responsible for developing, embedding and administering various elements of the CFS Risk Management Strategy and Framework including Risk Culture and supporting core elements across all businesses in CFS.

Your Responsibilities
Joining us on a maximum term contract, you will be responsible for maintaining and embedding the CFS Group Risk Management Framework to enable a robust risk management culture and practices across all businesses.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Maintaining and implementing the Risk Management Framework including core components such as the Risk Management Strategy and Risk Appetite Statement, and ensuring ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Creating policies, procedures, resources and tools to enable the Risk Management Framework including Risk Assessments, Controls and Risk Matters with emphasis on control and process simplification and automation.
  • Overseeing the efficacy of the Risk Management Framework and identifying continuous improvement opportunities and initiating actions to execute as appropriate to further enhance risk culture and capability.
  • Partnering with stakeholders in Lines 1 and 2 to ensure the Risk Management Framework is fit for purpose.
  • Overseeing the risk framework awareness and communication process through coordination of regular, easy to understand messaging to business staff on key elements of the Risk Management Framework to promote sound risk culture.
  • Participating in, and contributing to, various risk management administrative tasks, initiatives and exercises, such as risk system enhancements, internal and external audits, and risk training.
  • Actively leveraging and advancing the use of artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance risk management capabilities, streamline processes, enhance efficiency that supports strategic decision-making.

Your Capability And Experience

  • Extensive experience in second line risk management, ideally within Superannuation and Investments (Wealth) or the broader Australian financial services sector.
  • Expertise in risk frameworks, including controls testing (design and effectiveness) and risk culture.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with a proven ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of an organisation.
  • Commercially minded and pragmatic, consistently adding value through insight and strategic partnership.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate with autonomy and accountability, keeping senior stakeholders well-informed.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and change, with a proven track record of thriving in fast-paced financial services sector environments.
