Operational Risk Senior Manager/Executive Manager – Superannuation

A growing and forward-thinking superannuation fund is looking for an experienced
Senior Operational Risk Manager
to join its leadership team. This is a key role for someone who wants to take ownership of operational risk frameworks and partner with senior stakeholders to embed a strong risk culture across a dynamic and evolving business.

What you'll be doing:

  • Lead the enhancement and execution of the operational risk management framework
  • Work closely with internal teams to identify, assess, and manage operational and enterprise risks
  • Provide advice on risk-related matters across change programs, investments, operations, and member services
  • Ensure alignment with APRA standards and regulatory expectations
  • Deliver high-quality risk reporting to the executive team and board
  • Lead risk incident management and support control design and remediation

What you'll bring:

  • Proven experience in operational risk within financial services – ideally superannuation, wealth, or insurance
  • Sound understanding of regulatory frameworks (e.g., SPS 220, CPS 230, RG 78)
  • Ability to build strong relationships and influence senior stakeholders
  • Experience working in environments undergoing transformation or growth
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
