Hammond & Neale are offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated and passionate Project Assistant to join our Brisbane team.

The Role

Our firm is looking for an individual with a desire to build a career and expand their understanding and knowledge of Client Side Project Management and Contract Administration. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of challenging and diverse projects ranging from minor works to new projects up to $20m in value. As an active member of the project management team you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting the Project Management team in the day to day operations of the company.
  • Assisting with project communication with consultants, contractors and clients.
  • Updating project schedules and budgets.
  • Preparation of notices and certificates under AS2124 and AS4300 contracts.
  • General contract administration and project assistant duties.
  • Project reporting and record keeping.
Key Criteria

To be considered for the role applicants would need to demonstrate the following qualifications, experience and skills:

  • Have or willing to work towards completing a project management qualification (Diploma, Bachelor Degree or equivalent).
  • Able to contribute to the fun, dynamic and creative team culture we pride ourselves on at Hammond & Neale.
  • Capable of showing initiative, strength in teamwork and a proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Relevant experience in contract administration or project administration is ideal but not essential for the right candidate.
  • A history managing or demonstrating a personal passion for projects in the Education, Community or similar project environments will be highly regarded but isn't essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A basic understanding of project management and contract administration principals.
