Your new role:
As an Administration Officer in the Security Unit, you will play an important role in supporting patient services and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations within a specialised hospital setting. You will deliver high-quality administrative support while maintaining strict confidentiality and accuracy.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating patient appointments, waiting lists, and clinic schedules, including cancellations and rescheduling.
- Providing excellent customer service to patients, staff, and external stakeholders through clear, respectful communication.
- Maintaining accurate patient records and data entry across multiple hospital information systems.
- Assisting with billing, receipting, and reporting functions, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
About you:
We are looking for a motivated and organised individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working as part of a team. You will be customer-focused and demonstrate strong communication and problem-solving skills.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience in administrative support, with proficiency in hospital information systems and Microsoft Office.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide professional service to patients and staff.
- High attention to detail and organisational skills, with the ability to manage sensitive information accurately and confidentially.
- A collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively within a team and adapt to changing priorities.

The Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) is a tertiary health care centre providing care in most major adult specialties. We provide world class health care to Brisbane City's southern suburbs across emergency, medical, mental health and surgical services, including liver and kidney transplant.
