The Role

We're looking for a Business Development Manager to drive growth and expand our footprint across Queensland and beyond. You'll work closely with our operations, marketing, and project delivery teams to identify opportunities, build strong relationships, and secure new business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, pursue, and win new business opportunities in the civil, mining, rail, and utilities sectors
  • Drive revenue growth and manage a pipeline of projects
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
  • Develop and deliver compelling proposals, tenders, and presentations with support from our team
  • Lead creative marketing that showcase our capability and innovation
  • Collaborate with operations and project teams to ensure successful client outcomes
  • Conduct market research and develop strategies to grow market share
  • Identify smarter, and more efficient ways to deliver value to clients
  • Negotiate contracts and ensure commercial outcomes are achieved

What You'll Bring

  • Strong business development and sales track record within construction, mining, or utilities
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Experience preparing proposals, tenders, and market growth strategies
  • Mechanical/technical understanding of earthmoving and underground service equipment
  • Understanding of Underground Service Locating, Surveying, Multi-array GPR, Vacuum Excavation, CCTV Pipe Inspections, Pipeline Patching and Repairs, Machinery, (or willingness to quickly upskill)
  • Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment
  • Proven ability to achieve and exceed sales targets
  • Willingness to travel
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred but not essential)
