Skelcon is a Newcastle-based commercial construction company delivering design and construct projects across the medical, hospitality, office and childcare sectors. As our team continues to grow, we're looking for a proactive Accounts and Administration Assistant to join our dynamic office.

Working closely with our Financial Controller and Admin team, this role provides key administrative and accounts support across multiple entities within the group.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Processing data entry, invoices, and accounts payable

• Processing payroll and assisting with timesheet management

• Assisting with weekly bank and credit card reconciliations

• Managing filing, scanning, and maintaining both digital records

• Supporting invoice preparation, expense reconciliation, and payment runs

• Providing general administrative support, including ad hoc property and office duties

Skills and experience:

• Experience using Xero and Excel

• Payroll knowledge (preferred)

• A proactive and reliable approach with excellent attention to detail

• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities

• Minimum 2 years' experience in an office, administration, or bookkeeping role
