About Us

The Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung Cultural Heritage Aboriginal Corporation (Wurundjeri Corporation) is a Registered Aboriginal Party appointed under the Aboriginal Heritage Act 2006. The Corporation holds statutory responsibilities for the protection and management of Aboriginal cultural heritage and Aboriginal intangible heritage on Wurundjeri Country. Additional functions of the Corporation include, environmental land management, cross-cultural education, traditional welcome to country and smoking ceremonies, research and cultural consultations.

Position: IT Systems and Applications Officer

Part-time (0.8 FTE) – Abbotsford head office with flexible work arrangements.

About the Role

The IT Systems and Applications Officer will support IT software sourcing, implementation, transition, and maintenance. You will collaborate with users, stakeholders, and vendors, ensuring smooth technology implementations and assisting in resolving business and software issues. The role involves proactive communication, project delivery support, and monitoring of IT systems.

Reporting to the Business Technology Manager, this role will be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide IT support, analysis, and training to business units.

  • Collaborate with users, stakeholders, and vendors on technology changes.

  • Communicate updates and application operational information to stakeholders.

  • Assist in IT project delivery and monitor support requests with vendors.

  • Generate reports and metrics for management.

  • Identify and support process improvements through technical tools.

  • Build, support and maintain relationships with Wurundjeri Elders and staff.

Experience, Skills, and Qualities

  • Tertiary qualification or 2+ years of experience in technology or technology-related fields.

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, and a customer-focused approach to work

  • Experience working with Aboriginal communities is highly regarded.

  • Intermediate experience with the Microsoft 365 suite and its administration

  • National Police Check/Working with children check required.
