We are looking for a talented Application Support Engineer to join our team. The role sits within our Computershare Technology Services (CTS) business, which provides global technology and infrastructure support for our global business lines. CTS underpins Computershare's total service package through creative technology applications deployed at all stages of the financial market cycle.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a global support team where your innovative ideas can be brought to life In this role, you will be part of an "on-call" rota across the team (on-call allowance). A role you will love

Join our dynamic global team as an Application Support Engineer, where you'll play a key role in supporting and maintaining a diverse suite of applications and automated processes within our Global Computershare Communication Services (CCS) business. In this position, you will triage and resolve software support and data processing issues, often collaborating with various technology teams, including infrastructure and development services.

You will closely partner with the support and infrastructure teams at Computershare Technology Services (CTS) and the CCS development team, leveraging core ITIL principles in Change, Release, Incident, and Problem Management. Your contributions will be pivotal in successfully delivering new services and applications into the production environment.

Overall, this role is essential in maintaining the seamless operation of all applications utilised by the CCS business, ensuring we consistently deliver an exceptional customer experience. Join us and be part of a team that values innovation, collaboration, and excellence

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensure systems are maintained and managed within agreed service level and in line with company policy or standards
  • Play an active role in the Incident, Problem and Change Management processes ensuring continuity of service
  • Drive process improvement, consistency, and global alignment throughout the group. Make use of automation, capacity and configuration management, monitoring solutions and other relevant tools and techniques
  • Proactively build professional relationships with other technical teams and key business stakeholders. Act as a business partner to support the business objectives
  • Support IT assurance and compliance processes while effectively managing risk within the Application Support Group

Essential Skills:

  • Proven experience in an application support role or a related field in alignment with the ITIL framework, particularly in Incident, Problem, Change, Transition, and Business Relationship Management
  • Familiarity with technologies such as MS Windows, MS Server, Azure, Active Directory, SQL, or equivalent systems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective interaction across various stakeholders
  • Ability to prioritise tasks effectively and adapt plans to accommodate evolving needs and circumstances
