Parker Black and Forrest are the leading distributor of commercial door hardware and locksmithing services to the Western Australian commercial marketplace.  We are expanding our contracts administration team and are seeking the services of a self-disciplined and motivated person to apply for the role of Contract Administrator, based at our office in Osborne Park, Perth W.A.

The Role

You will be liaising with builders and architects and other clients to ensure the successful delivery of orders and projects.  The successful applicant will be required to manage several projects simultaneously and this role will involve the following:

  • Document review and preparation of hardware recommendations;
  • Programming/scheduling of ordering and supplies;
  • Procurement and dealing with and managing sub-suppliers;
  • Preparation and management of contract variations;
  • Preparation and management of progress claims and contract reconciliations; and
  • Relationship building with clients and suppliers.

The person

The successful applicant will have the following attributes:

  • Commercial construction experience;
  • Display a strong work ethic and have great attention to detail;
  • Be well presented and have excellent written and communication skills;
  • Problem solving and the ability to think and act proactively;
  • A self-starter with the ability to work autonomously;
  • Offer proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; and
  • Exhibit a mature and harmonious character.

Experience working within the door hardware, 1st fix carpentry and/or locksmithing industry will be highly regarded.
