The Role

In the role of Inventory Manager, you will be vital to our operations, maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our physical inventory. Your tasks involve planning, implementing, and reconciling full physical inventories and cycle count processes. You will collaborate closely with internal team members to devise strategies that boost efficiency, service quality, and reduce discrepancies.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a high-performing inventory team, fostering a culture of excellence by motivating and coaching your team to improve performance and enhance capabilities
  • Develop and implement inventory benchmarks to enhance departmental performance and ensure alignment with company strategies across safety, quality, delivery and cost objectives
  • Deep dive into inventory discrepancies uncovering root causes and lead efforts to ensure accurate reconciliations
  • Drive continuous improvement and optimisation of inventory systems, processes and procedures
  • Management of goods on hold ensuring the recorded status is accurate and goods are released within agreed timelines to avoid negative impacts on DIFOT
  • Manage the end-to-end monthly stock take program - a task super critical to inventory management
  • Monitor receivals, dispatches, transfers and replenishments ensuring accuracy throughout
  • Prepare regular reports on inventory status, supply chain performance, and operational efficiency for upper management
  • Take ownership of the ERP requirements for the warehouse

The Successful Candidate will bring:

  • Proven leadership skills, providing direction and support to ensure the team delivers the warehouse KPI's
  • Previous experience in inventory management with a strong understanding of inventory management software and systems.
  • Intermediate to advance Excel capabilities
  • Experience using ERPs with SAP advantageous
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as good numerical ability
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to maintain accurate inventory records
  • Forklift license preferred
