Purchasing and Stores Coordinator
To take full ownership of Grove Racing's purchasing and stores function — ensuring the right parts, materials and consumables are available, tracked, and delivered on time to enable the race team's success.
This role is central to building structure, efficiency and visibility across all procurement and inventory processes. Working closely with the Operations Manager, the Purchasing & Stores Coordinator will implement systems, streamline workflows and support the team with accurate, timely and cost-effective supply chain management.
- Oversee the end-to-end purchasing process — from supplier quotes through to purchase order, delivery, and reconciliation.
- Develop and maintain an organised, well-structured stores environment with clear stock levels, labelling, and accountability.
- Support the race team's operational calendar by forecasting parts and consumables requirements for builds, test programs, and race weekends.
- Collaborate with engineering, workshop and finance teams to ensure transparency and alignment between purchasing, budget and operational priorities.
- Build supplier relationships and negotiate to achieve best value, lead times and quality outcomes.
- Contribute to the continual improvement of purchasing and inventory systems — including digitisation, reporting and process automation.
- Drive accuracy in goods receipting, stock management, and reporting to minimise wastage and maximise efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Certificate or Diploma in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics or similar (preferred).
Experience:
- 3–5 years' experience in a purchasing, logistics or stores role — ideally within motorsport, automotive, manufacturing, logistics or construction.
- Demonstrated experience building or improving inventory and purchasing systems.
- High attention to detail, with strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Proficiency with purchasing/ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-performance team environment.
- Proactive and accountable — takes ownership and follows through.
- Systems-minded with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Strong communicator who thrives in a team environment.
- Understands the link between operational excellence and on-track performance.
As one of Australia's leading Supercars teams, Grove Racing combines elite competition with a professional, modern business structure. You'll be part of a high-performance environment where initiative is valued and improvement is expected — contributing directly to the team's success on and off the track.
