We are seeking collaborative and skilled HV Electrical Operator Maintainers to form the core of our operations and maintenance team at our brand-new, state-of-the-art Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) facility in Brendale.

Your Role

As a key member of our on-site Operations and Maintenance team, you will collaborate with your colleagues to ensure the optimal performance, availability, and safety of this critical facility. Under the guidance of the Foreman, you will be responsible for executing the sites maintenance strategy, performing HV switching, monitoring equipment, responding to alarms, and ensuring all work is done to the highest quality and safety standards. Your ability to be a reliable team player will be just as important as your technical skill.

• An unrestricted QLD Electrical Licence and extensive experience (5+ years) in HV environments.

• Proven experience with SCADA and CMMS systems.

Qualifications:

Essential Qualifications & Experience

Licences & Certifications:

• Unrestricted Queensland Electrical Licence.
• Certificate III or IV in Electrotechnology or equivalent.
• Work Health and Safety (WHS) General Construction Induction Card (White Card).
• Units of Competency: MSMPER300, MSMWHS201, UEPOPS116, UEPOPS036, UEPOPS124, UETDRIS017, UEPOPS021, HLTAID009, UETDRRF003, UETDRRF004.

Technical Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a High Voltage (HV) environment (e.g., power station, substation, heavy industrial facility).
• Proficiency in reading technical drawings (electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, P&IDs).
• Demonstrated experience with SCADA systems.
• Experience with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Knowledge of relevant standards: AS/NZS 3000, AS 2067, AS/NZS 62271.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

• Experience with DC battery systems (up to 1500VDC).
• Specific BESS technology experience and/or manufacturer certifications.
• Experience in instrumentation and controls.
• Prior experience interacting with AEMO or Powerlink.
