Planner Scheduler

Location:
Brendale (QLD) |
Schedule:
Monday – Friday

The Opportunity

This role offers the rare opportunity to
build the planning function from the ground up
—establishing the systems, processes, and rhythm that will underpin the safe and reliable operation of a critical renewable-energy asset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the site's
    Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
, ensuring all work orders, schedules, and asset data are accurate and up to date.
  • Develop and maintain short- and long-term maintenance plans to maximise plant availability.
  • Coordinate with the Site Foreman, Operator Maintainers, and external contractors to plan and track maintenance activities.
  • Monitor performance metrics and produce reports on asset health, backlog, and compliance.
  • Manage contractor relationships for site services (security, grounds, facilities).
  • Champion continuous improvement and proactive maintenance culture.

What You'll Bring

  • 5 + years' experience in
    maintenance planning or scheduling
, ideally within power generation, heavy industry, or renewables.
  • Expertise with
    CMMS platforms
(MEX preferred; SAP, P6, Maximo, or similar considered).
  • Strong understanding of
    electrical and mechanical systems
    and associated maintenance workflows.
  • Working knowledge of
    Permit-to-Work (PTW)
    ,
    Lock-Out Tag-Out (LOTO)
    , and Qld WHS legislation.
  • Excellent organisational, analytical, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to think strategically, anticipate needs, and maintain structure in a dynamic environment.
  • Advantageous: reliability-engineering or maintenance-strategy background, or prior experience implementing a CMMS from scratch.

Why Join This Project

  • Build It Right:
Define and implement the planning systems and processes from day one.
  • Modern Tech:
Work with advanced BESS, SCADA, and maintenance tools supporting Australia's energy transition.
  • Collaborative Culture:
Small, high-trust team with a focus on communication and shared accountability.
  • Balanced Lifestyle:
Day-based role with predictable hours and free on-site parking.
