We are co-located with a 24/7 Emergency and ICU service as well as Veterinary Specialists.About us:Tooronga Veterinary Hospital opened in May 2024 and is rapidly growing - we are currently home to 25 dedicated employees. The practice is co-located with two other independent businesses: AES (ECC) and MARS (Specialists). As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Veterinary Nurse to join our team.Key responsibilities:Support clinicians during consultations and independently deliver nurse consultations, focusing on low-stress patient handling, client education, and accurate record-keeping.Provide high-quality nursing care for hospitalised patients including the administration of medication (comprising CRIs and anaesthetics), accurate clinical charting (VetRadar), diagnostic and imaging support (cytology, IDEXX in-house pathology, blood gas analysis, radiographs, ultrasound, CT).Confidently assist in dental and surgical cases from pre-operative preparation (IV catheter placement, intubation) to anaesthesia monitoring, intraoperative support, and post-operative care.Maintain high hospital standards through cleaning, sterilisation, and adherence to isolation protocols.Contribute positively to the hospital culture by fostering collaboration, high standards, and compassionate patient care.What we offer:A collaborative and supportive work environment.Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.New state of the art facilities.Practice the highest standard of general practice veterinary medicine in collaboration with specialists and emergency clinicians.Enticing remuneration packageIdeal Candidate Profile:A Love for GP Veterinary Nursing: Passion and positivity is pivotalVeterinary Nursing Experience: > 2 years' experience as a veterinary nurse or technician and must hold a Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing or a Bachelor of Veterinary Nursing or a Bachelor of Veterinary Technology.Strong Clinical AcumenCustomer Service & Communication Excellence: Outstanding customer service and communication abilities.EzyVet Proficiency: Prior experience using EzyVet is preferred, however not essential.If you are ready to make a difference in a supportive and thriving environment, we would love to hear from youHow to apply:Please send your resume and a cover letter outlining your experience and vision for the role to Please address your letter to Mrs Rachael van RynApplications close 7th of November 2025Join us in shaping the future of veterinary care at Tooronga Veterinary Hospital.
