We are currently looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our building services team in Sydney, NSW. This role is based in Metro Sydney but travel to regional areas will be required.
This role involves managing a team of technicians and staff, developing maintenance strategies, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and optimising performance.
The successful candidate is also responsible for department budgeting, scheduling, and implementing preventive maintenance programs, fostering a culture of safety and excellence, and collaborating with other departments to support the organisation's goals.
The Position:
- Oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of all maintenance activities to ensure optimal operational efficiency and safety.
- Manage project works and lead & actively participate in the growth of GJK Building Services NSW/QLD
- Management of vendor logistics and resourcing including Customer Relationships.
- Coordination of GJK Service Delivery Team and approved subcontractors for all aspects of Safety and Compliance.
- Day to day problem solving and incident resolution associated with the work.
- Oversee project resources, budgets, and timelines to ensure successful delivery.
- Prepare project quotes using estimating software
- Review project scope, schedule deliverables, and estimate costs.
- Manage project financials and administration
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, identifying and securing future work opportunities.
- Develop new business throughout NSW/QLD supported by wider GJK team
Essential Criteria:
- Strong communication and admin skills
- Commercial Acumen
- Strong Building Knowledge
- Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance techniques.
- Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team of technicians and staff.
- Capability to manage budgets, resources, and timelines effectively.
- Experience in developing and adhering to maintenance schedules
- Understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards.
- Knowledge of environmental and occupational health regulations.
Experience & Qualification:
- Trade Qualification
- Builders Licence or similar preferred
- Degree of Diploma in Building and Construction or Project Management
- 5-10 years minimum building experience
- Valid driver's licence
- Ability to obtain Police clearance check
- Ability to obtain Working with Children's check
