Senior Applied Legal Technology (ALT) Specialist

Position Overview:

Our client, a global law firm, are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Senior ALT Specialist to join their leading ALT/eDiscovery team on a 12-month contract. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside a team of industry experts, providing advanced legal technology support and ensuring the effective delivery of eDiscovery and data management solutions. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in legal technology platforms, superb attention to detail, and a passion for innovation within legal operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a senior point of contact within the National Applied Legal Technology (ALT) team, assisting with complex eDiscovery projects and legal data management tasks.
  • Support the design, creation, and administration of electronic and physical document management systems aligned with client and internal requirements.
  • Utilize platforms such as Ringtail, Relativity, or similar eDiscovery software to process, review, and produce legal data efficiently and accurately.
  • Validate and import large datasets, ensuring data integrity and compliance with quality standards.
  • Develop and refine workflows, conduct targeted searches, and assign review tasks to optimize team productivity.
  • Manage document review processes, export relevant information, and record metadata accurately.
  • Collaborate closely with technical consultants and legal teams to troubleshoot issues and implement innovative solutions.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of all processes and ensure adherence to firm and industry best practices.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with eDiscovery platforms such as NUIX, Relativity, or similar.
  • Proven experience in Alternative Legal Technology (ALT)/eDiscovery and legal data processing.
  • Relevant qualifications in Law, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline are highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated high attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, capable of managing multiple high-priority tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively to a tight timeline.
