About Us
Where The Truck (WTT) is the technology and innovation arm of the Australian Mobile Food Vendors Group (AMFVG) – the country's leading facilitator of food truck events and mobile catering experiences. Together, we power some of Australia's biggest festivals, sporting events, and community activations through a dynamic mix of vendor engagement, mobile food tech, and curated event solutions.
As we continue to expand our national footprint and strengthen our partnerships with councils, corporates, and event organisers, we're seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager to help take us to the next level.
About the Role
Reporting to the Executive Team, the Business Development Manager will play a key role in identifying growth opportunities, securing new event partnerships, and expanding vendor network engagement across both AMFVG and Where The Truck platforms.
This is a rare opportunity to blend sales, strategy, and event innovation – ideal for a commercially minded go-getter who thrives on building relationships and delivering tangible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive business growth through new client acquisition across events, councils, and corporate sectors
- Identify and negotiate partnership opportunities with event organisers and commercial property owners
- Promote and expand use of the Where The Truck platform among vendors and stakeholders
- Support tenders, proposals, and sponsorship submissions
- Work closely with the marketing, tech, and operations teams to align sales efforts with execution
- Represent the brand at key industry events and meetings
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 3–5 years in business development, partnerships, or sales – ideally in events, hospitality, or SaaS
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Strong network within events, councils, or food and beverage sectors highly regarded
- Ability to work autonomously and in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for street food, events, and innovation is a must
