About the role

Dawmac Industries, a leading supplier and distributor in the Berrigan region, is seeking a dedicated Logistics Assistant to join their dynamic team. This full-time role will be based in our Berrigan, NSW location and will play a crucial part in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehousing and distribution activities.

Candidates must be Australian citizens to be eligible for this position.

What you'll be doing

  • Providing administrative support within the logistics and distribution team
  • Assisting with the coordination and tracking of inbound and outbound freight movements
  • Maintaining accurate inventory records and assisting with stock management
  • Preparing shipping documentation and liaise with carriers to ensure timely deliveries
  • Responding to customer inquiries related to order status and delivery
  • Supporting the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives within the logistics function
  • Contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the warehouse and distribution operations

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience in a logistics or warehouse support role, ideally within the manufacturing, transport or distribution sectors
  • Minimum of 6-12 months of logistics or warehouse support experience is required
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in using warehouse management and inventory control systems
  • Experience with any warehouse management system is required
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • A collaborative and proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and safety practices
