About the Role

We're seeking a Connections Technical Specialist to support the Connections Services Director in enabling new infrastructure connections to the transmission network.

In this role, you'll provide expert advice on regulatory requirements and compliance across the asset lifecycle, from initial enquiry through to delivery and post-energisation. You'll collaborate with internal teams, external stakeholders and consultants to ensure technical solutions are competitive, compliant and deliverable.

About You

You bring a strong mix of technical expertise, regulatory knowledge and stakeholder engagement experience.

Essential:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Background in transmission, distribution or electricity generation
  • Experience in network connections, contract management and stakeholder engagement
  • Strong understanding of NER (especially Chapter 5), NEM, AEMO and AEMC requirements
  • Skilled in project management, communication and negotiation

Desirable:

  • Experience in system planning, modelling studies and integration of new system generation and loads
  • Exposure to Power Systems Engineering including analysis, design and operation of electrical networks
