About the Role

We're seeking a Connections Technical Specialist to support the Connections Services Director in enabling new infrastructure connections to the transmission network.

In this role, you'll provide expert advice on regulatory requirements and compliance across the asset lifecycle, from initial enquiry through to delivery and post-energisation. You'll collaborate with internal teams, external stakeholders and consultants to ensure technical solutions are competitive, compliant and deliverable.

About You

You bring a strong mix of technical expertise, regulatory knowledge and stakeholder engagement experience.

Essential:

Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experienceBackground in transmission, distribution or electricity generationExperience in network connections, contract management and stakeholder engagementStrong understanding of NER (especially Chapter 5), NEM, AEMO and AEMC requirementsSkilled in project management, communication and negotiation

Desirable:

Experience in system planning, modelling studies and integration of new system generation and loadsExposure to Power Systems Engineering including analysis, design and operation of electrical networks
