Our programs include active social outings, 1:1 support and reliable transport services for people living with disabilities.

Role Description

This is a casual, on-site role for a Disability Support Worker located in Sydney's North Shore, Northern Beaches and Hills District. The Disability Support Worker will be responsible for supporting our participants in 1:1 outings within their home or out in the community. This may include helping with daily living skills, attending appointments, using public transport, or enjoying recreational outings such as going to the movies, parks, cafes, or local events. Workers will encourage choice, participation, and wellbeing through tailored 1:1 support.

This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to make a genuine impact.

You'll have the freedom to choose your own hours and gradually build a rewarding client base. This position is ideal for a university student studying psychology, social work, education, or a related field who's looking to gain hands-on experience supporting people in the community.

It's also a great fit for someone with strong interpersonal and communication skills who enjoys connecting with others, building relationships, and making a difference in people's lives.

You must hold at least a P2 license in order to apply for this role

Qualifications

  • Experience as a Support Worker is a plus
  • A Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) is advantageous
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills and Communication abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience in working with young people with varying abilities is a plus
  • CPR & First Aid

You will be required to complete the NDIS Orientation Module (90 mins online), hold a current Police Check, and obtain the NDIS Worker Check (NDISWC).
