Support Worker – Aged Care

About the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our growing team, providing high-quality, person-centred care to clients under Aged Care Home Services and/or the NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme). The ideal candidate will be fluent in Arabic, hold a valid driver's license, and be committed to supporting clients to live independently and with dignity in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care assistance (e.g., showering, dressing, grooming)
  • Support with domestic duties (cleaning, meal preparation, shopping)
  • Assist clients with support
  • Escort clients to appointments, community activities, and social outings
  • Monitor clients' wellbeing and report changes to care coordinators
  • Support the implementation of care plans or NDIS plans
  • Build respectful and trusting relationships with clients and their families
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records of care provided

Essential Requirements:

  • Fluent in Arabic (spoken and written preferred)
  • Valid Australian Driver's License and access to a reliable, insured vehicle
  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care / Disability) or equivalent, or willingness to obtain
  • National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Working With Children Check and/or NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Full working rights in Australia

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in aged care, disability support, or community services
  • Understanding of cultural sensitivities within Arabic-speaking communities
