Disability Support Worker – Kirrawee Client

Position Overview

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Disability Support Worker to support a client located in Kirrawee for community access shifts. This role requires someone who is engaging, supportive, and able to build strong rapport, while encouraging independence and active participation in the community.

Client's Support Hours

  • Fridays: 4-hour shifts
  • Requirement: Female support worker who drives and holds a valid Australian driver's licence
  • Additional flexibility and availability on weekdays and weekends will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centred support in line with the client's NDIS goals.
  • Assist with transport and accompany the client to community and social activities.
  • Promote independence, community participation, and meaningful engagement.
  • Offer support with daily routines when required.
  • Maintain professional documentation, including progress notes and updates.
  • Work independently and respond calmly in different situations.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience in disability or community support (preferred).
  • Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, or equivalent (desirable).
  • Strong communication skills – both verbal and written.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
  • A valid driver's licence and reliable transport (essential for community access).
  • Empathetic, reliable, and committed to empowering people with disabilities.
